Who is Yimes?

Yimes is the production duo of Andrew Taetz and John Hanson. In 2021 they combined forces to begin co-production of their debut album Yimes. Involving musicians and engineers from both of their respective artist communities in San Francisco and Detroit, Yimes features a rich tapestry of style and texture. Ultimately a breakthrough album in the New Age genre, Taetz and Hanson bonded over their love for Sigur Ros and one day vowed to make a healing new age record together.

Their first session began in July 2021.

It all begins with an idea. Taetz and Hanson agreed they would one day make the best New Age album ever(or at least their attempt). This dream became real when they booked some studio days in San Francisco in July of 2021
